Maple Sunday Fun

We didn't make it out on the actual Maine Maple Sunday - a huge bummer, especially since it was so cold up here the sap hadn't even started running yet!  So we went out yesterday instead - here are a few fun pics from our trip.  The Kid was very excited to see the "white stripes" - i.e. the tubing coming from the trees and being pumped down into the big tub, unfortunately I didn't get any pics of that. We had some fun playing outside though!

Maple Taffy! YUMMY!

Maple Cotton Candy - even yummier!

Cousin Fun!

I'm very lucky to have a super adorable niece who's only a couple months older than The Kid#2, although to look at them you wouldn't know they're 2+ months apart since my baby's so big they're just about the same size. Anyway recently we were able to get together a couple times and have some fun... here's a few photos of the girls :D

Thrifting deal of the day!

Deal of the Day

A few months ago I bought these 15-20 Little People talking zoo animals at Catholic Charities Thrift Store in a couple grab bags I spent about $2 total (See that post Here) and they're worth at minimum $4 each animal.  They've been a ton of fun for The Kid on their own. She loves to talk about the animals and what they say, and their names.

Then today on the Infant/Children's swap I found the zoo that they go with for $5!!!!! Best price I found on Ebay for the same thing was $25! So for a total of $7 I have a little people set that would have cost me well over $50 that's practically brand new. I didn't even have to put batteries in it, it still works :D  Happy thrifty Momma right here! I cannot wait to see The Kid's face when she gets up tomorrow morning to see this new playset.

Too Much FROZEN

We watched it for the 257th time today.

I can repeat the entire movie verbatim.

I get the dumbest songs stuck in my head... "but Reindeers smell better than People, Sven don't you think that's right?"

The Kid can act out almost the entire Let It Go sequence, but only sings "let it go" over and over and over... which I'll admit is still kind of cute. Although like the rest of the movie, the cuteness is bound to wear off, but until then, here's a video of her acting it out.   If you're going to be judging my messy living room instead of watching my cute kid act, sing, and dance, then kindly stop reading here... if not, then feel free to watch :D

my pretties

We had a good time today, went and visited some family of The King's, had a mini photo shoot and watched Frozen for the hundred-and-fiftieth time in just a few weeks.  I will forever have these songs in my head, but it's just too hard to resist when The Kid looks at me with big cute eyes and says "Watch Anna-Elsa?!"  She also "sings" and acts out parts of Let it Go - it's super adorable to watch, she's getting braver and braver doing it in front of me now rather than hiding in the kitchen acting it out.  Hopefully soon I can get a video of it to share :)  In the meantime I do have some photos from our mini shoot this morning with the girls in their Minnie Mouse outfits from Nana and Bampy to share. They're so adorable.
I love her little smile!

My beautiful girl!
